Chris & Jessica (Salsa Gente, Santa Cruz, CA) performed at the 8th Salsa Rueda Festival in San Francisco on Feb 14, 2016.
This impressive piece features classic 1950’s style Mambo with a fun choreography they worked out with help of famed Jose Cheo Rojas Ramirez. With this piece they remember and honor Mambo as part of Cuban history. The music is from Cuban greats Beny More and Perez Prado back in the early 50′. Costumes from 1950’s. This was the only Mambo performance at the festival.

This piece “Inolvidable” was choreographed with Ramon Ramos Alayo of Alayo Dance Company, San FranciscoThey performed at the largest Cuban music and dance festival in the US, the Salsa Rueda Festival, in San Francisco in February 2014. . “Inolvidable”, features a variety of Cuban dances such as Danzon, Yambu (Rumba), Salsa Suelta, Casino (Salsa), ChaChaCha and Mambo.
